Finding the cheapest diesel and petrol near me
Supermarket forecourts are usually the cheapest option: Costco averages 166.9p against BP at 177.1p, a gap of 10.2p across the same fuel. But that is an average, and a well-placed independent competing with a supermarket will often undercut both. Every price comes from the Competition and Markets Authority open data scheme, which requires retailers to publish what they are charging and keep it current. It is the same source the government uses to monitor the fuel market, so these are verified pump prices rather than estimates or crowd-sourced guesses.
